Description & Summary:
I Am Somebody is a nonprofit organization founded by Danyael Cheairs (a domestic violence and child sexual abuse survivor).
This is an aftercare and empowerment program for domestic violence,and sexual abuse/assault. Our clients are provided with tools, support, and mentoring needed after leaving an abusive relationship.
We provide basic life skills workshops, apprenticeships and employment, help with obtaining education and much more.
We also have a very focused program for the children who often are the ones who get lost in the shuffle. We want to make sure we help the children to heal so that the abusive pattern does not continue into another generation.
